We rather liked these.

We thought a) looked good and b) had a good British angle.

Do you agree? Should Ariel 1 (the first British satellite) have been highlighted?

Also, Royal Mail has sent three people dressed as astronauts to wander around London holding the stamps. As you do. If you're on Twitter, you can follow their progress at @royalmailstamps. At the same time, please follow us @stampmagazine!

Managed to obtain example on 12/10/12. I have since posted it to myself and received a rather poor Jubilee MC iLSM inkjet cancel.

Is the date legible? Can you show a pic here?

I second that - I've heard there are early releases. If it's legible, we'd love a good pic to use in the magazine. I'm at julia dot lee at myhobbystore dot com, and it helps if the image is 300dpi.

Bump, as it's issue day.

Just bought a presentation pack from Charing Cross. Don't recall seeing any astronauts, and I'd like to think I would remember that. Agree with both points, but don't be giving them ideas for extra stamps, I was relieved and not a little surprised to see there was no minature sheet - or is that still to come?

Hi Keith, I think the astronauts were wandering round on Fri (probably with the aim of getting usable media pics).

No MS in this issue. Believe it or not, not every GB issue has a minisheet.

I think they look nice, and a nice change from all the olympics and royals recently! Nice and bright too!

Couldn't agree more.

I really like this set, well done Royal Mail.

My childhood thematic collection was on space exploration / astronomy. As a teen I used to star gaze with my little AstroScan telescope. Saturn never looked like that thru my little 4 inch telescope!

I think the designs are great and show the beauty of our astronomic neighbors to best advantage. My favorite stamp is the Mars crater. I am really thinking of buying this set.
