Robert Pitts on our website said 'These are proper stamps, because they are not Arty farty or gimmicky, and they've got locos on them!'.

I think four miniature sheets from around the UK is a bit of gimmick. Thoughts?

Anyone got any reports on these? Any errors? Trouble getting them? Or are you delighted with them?

There's nothing wrong with miniature sheets, but the stamps should also be available individually. Otherwise they are not issued for postal purposes and in my opinion are not stamps, but worthless bits of paper.

Stamps are all 'worthless bits of paper' until you put them on cover to do the job they were printed to do in the time of issue.. Some are harder to get than others...

I love steam locomotives (used to restore, fire and drive them as a hobby before deafness and advancing age made that impractical) but these pieces of paper are never going to go through proper postal channels.

A stamp bearing a legible cancellation stating time and place of postage is an historical document. Without that, it is, as others have said, just a piece of paper.
