I have in my collection a stamp with HP followed by a number of letters in non-Latin script and have been trying to find out the country of origin. Some sites say it's from Bulgaria, others from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have a photo of the stamp on my phone, but when I tried to log in to this forum in order to upload the stamp to my album and ask about it, the site wouldn't let me in, even though I used the correct log-in details.

Can anyone help please?

Your stamp will be Bulgarian. The script (and the H.P.) is in the Bulgarian Cyrillic style and basically means, in full, something like People's Republic of Bulgaria.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much Alex. I've always thought it was Bulgaria, but some sites were saying Bosnia and Herzegovina, which threw me a bit. It's now happily mounted with its fellow country stamps.
