Hi all. I am looking for a 1d red (SG8) plating expert! Is my stamp the rare plate 107? If not, what do you think it is? Thank you! Dan.

I'm not an expert in the line engraved issues, but I know of someone who is, perhaps if you contact Eric Paul Stamps with your query he may be able to give you an answer.
The ' E ' of PENNY could be the clue ! Fred.

two places to look:
1) **LINK** but your stamp is not, yet, illustrated for plate 107.
2) if you use facebook, try joining the Queen Victoria - Philately and Postal History of Great Britain group. There are a number of expert platers who inhabit it (including some well known dealers). It is not for buying/selling though! Never found one which was complete and defied plating! An answer often comes in minutes at the moment!

depending on which Plate number it eventually is, it might be one with missing imprimatur lettering. Have a look at
**LINK** which shows a lot of the missing imps. But I don't thinks it's Plate 107
