Have you ever wondered why self adhesive stamps are given perforations ?

The original idea of creating perforations is the ability to separate one stamp from another, but self adhesive stamps are already issued separately so really there is no reasonto perforate them.

I pointed this out to the editor of this magazine Guy Thomas some months ago and we mutually agreed that they were there just to make them look like traditional stamps we have always been used to.

They are just there for show to look authentic and nothing else, otherwise they would just look like a sticky label i.e. to look as aesthetic as possible but of no use.

So now you know.
