Hi Geoff

Good idea, keep up the good work. What does the number under each cover represent, is it the order you have put them on? Would a date for each cover be an idea or would that be too big a task?

Stephen, we need a photo to be able to help. Just from the description it sounds as if the colour has washed out.

That's pretty plain jayemcee. I see from the link that the dealer is out of stock on that stamp so it must be a popular issue !!!

Are these the smallest sports stamps ever?

They measure 2cm x 2.2 cm!

I'm fairly sure they are unofficials.

Is this one of the plainest stamps ever? As well as the design the colours are grey, white and black. plain stamps.jpeg

Any more examples?

Thread: Gavelsnipe

Does anyone have any experience of using Gavelsnipe.com??

I always wondered how I was outbid in the last 5 secs on e-bay!

I have not tried it yet because it is free and I am very cynical.

Christmas 1966 3d stamp. i bought this stamp as a novelty for my collection, the guy I bought it from said it was probably a fake! If it is genuine i don,t think he would have sold it at the price he did.

I have looked the stamp up and it says the head can be removed with chemicals but if it was it doesn,t seem to have affected the rest of the stamp very much. The stamp is used, I can't really see anybody sending this sort of error through the post.

anyway it makes an interesting little addition to my collection,as long as I don't show it as genuine!!

Thread: Modern GB- Why so Expensive?

I think a lot of collectors stop buying new issues about this time due to the sheer number and high face values. Also about this time the internet started to really get going and the number of stamps used commercially began to drop so the number of used stamps available declined.

Recently it seems former collectors have thought about filling some gaps and supply and demand and ebay have caused prices to rise.

For another point, who was the first player to score 100 goals in the English Premier League?
