A pane of 25 of the 1st class James I stamp from the House of Stuart set issued in June has been discovered with the right margin imperforate.
Purchased from a post office in Norfolk at the time of release, the error occurred on the top-right pane 5 of a sheet of 100 stamps, printed by Cartor from cylinders C1 x 5.
It’s possible that the lower pane was similarly affected, although modern checking and security procedures make it less likely than ever that many sheets had this error.
