'RUSSIA 175th anniv of Railways in Russia, issue of a 50rouble miniature sheet on Sept 30, 2012 To me, the one on the stamp looks like the one at the bottom left, but I'd like confirmation for that too... |

While not a mainstream train as such, more of an unmanned postal underground delivery train, here is a GPO cover from 1967. 1968 Luton postmark. This letter hasn't got a train on it, but it has had an eventful train journey back in 1935. The letter was damaged by fire on the Frankfurt - Berlin train (train D45) and had this label attached by the postal authorities in Leipzig stating the fact. Note the fire damaged to the bottom.

Julia, I am not sure about top left steam one but the below left looks like Russian locomotive class FD 21-3125 to me..and definitely both are not the same.. |

There is a little museum tucked into a far corner, had some nice philatelic material on display last time I was there. A little hint, if you ever visit this place, go down the stairs to the restaurant section; you'll get some of the best New York sauerkraut in the whole city. The cost is because its for Express Mail.
