That's lovely stuff, Som!

Now if you're going to hunt down that 1997 French cat, you should try and find this postcard as well. It's the same stamp but now printed in red, and you also get an extra engraving, by Pierre Forget, which is even more stunning than the stamp.

By the way: is it is an official postcard? or Maxi-card?

Som: yes, it is an officially issued postcard of the French Post.

Julian: Nothing more than your fancy I hope!

Ha ha ha Adrian no its just the fact, I could never see a cat being that energetic as depicted on card or stamp. However if it was laying down with its head lifted a tad and the words "Oh really" then it goes back to sleep, is more like it?

Those are wonderful, Som! I love engraved portraits, so here's one from Mörck on a stamp from 1991.

img_2723.jpgHi there ,

Just thought I'd add this one for my twopenny's worth , (my favourite at the moment )

Yet again , no matter what I try the image I see sideways when it was vertical in my photos box - any ideas why ?

Trev
