Come on, folks! 369 views, and just Chris commenting (now that I've moved our 'Mystery' to its own thread).

We don't bite, so just tell us what your area or areas of interest is.

Who knows, you might find someone with similar collecting interests...

Hi All..  Just joined..

I stopped collecting stamps approx 20 years ago, then it was world collecting, and to tell the truth a bit of a mess really.

I have learned a lot in the last 2 years, ( by joing Philatelic Club) that specialising is the way to go, therefore I found a theme that I had a lot of interest in and went for that, and very recently went to a stamp fair and found what I thought was a good deal, buying an album with a great lot of stamps of a single country, already included, and now also collecting the Country too.

My Collections are; Horse Racing ( must be the sport)  and GREECE. Both are looking good for a 2 year old collection.

Best Wishes to All and Happy Collecting

Great to hear from a 'returner'.

When you say 'it must be the sport', does that mean 'no general horse stamps'? Where would a stamp of a famous racehorse, that didn't depict any racing, fall?

And I hope you've seen these Melbourne Cup stamps.

Hi Julia

Yes... NO  Horse stamps, unless associated with the sport, collection includes Jockeys Racehorses, owners, racecourses, etc.. either stamps, postmarks, postcards, etc; ie; anything Philatelic.

Yes I have the New Issue of Melbourne Cup stamps, FDC's and Sheets, PHQ's etc. all  ordered direct from Australia Post.

Yes, I see, nice and tailored. Interesting thematic, too. Feel free to put up some examples in our 'Albums' section.
